Joey Guisto is a 1994 graduate of the SUNY Geneseo where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication, with a concentration in Radio Broadcast Management. While at Geneseo, Joey was active at the student radio station “WGSU,” serving as Music Director his senior year. Also while at Geneseo, Joey was an intern and volunteer DJ at 90.5 FM WBER, the only station that matters, where he became Music Director / Assistant Program Director in January of 1995. Since 2001, Joey has been WBER’s Station Manager and Program Director where his many daily responsibilities include 24 x 7 x 365 music programming, management of the volunteer DJ staff, promoting underwriting and fundraising, and coordinating student-run high school radio clubs. Joey is most passionate about fulfilling the station’s mission to give true-to-life radio experience to students in the Media Production program at Monroe One BOCES. Outside of the station, Joey and his wife, Carla have 2 children: Joseph (age 6) and Lyla (age 3). Joey Guisto also enjoys following professional and college sports (baseball, football, basketball, and hockey) and spending time with his family and friends.
To participate in the connections, the requesting district must participate in their BOCES Distance Learning Co-Ser.
